I doubt I'll quite make the crisp twenty pound note from the Octopus though, less than an hour to go now.

The official total was 132.09 kWh or £19.81 so a new NowtyRecord of a daily export :xx: ,but missed out on the crispy £20 note.

Short comms failure between the grid point monitor and the SMA Sunny Island.

In my fevered imagination I would have thought that Nowtron- Nowty’s AI assistant would have been in control and fixed the comms error while Nowty slept and dreamt of Batteries  Let’s face it he makes enough power for his own AI.

Some new ev tariffs from octopus.. Octopus Intelligent Go Fixed (looks like 1p/kWh cheaper than normal peak/same off peak) and intelligent drive pack (max £20 / month EV unlimited EV charging).

Seems like they can be used together with outgoing octopus still.

The comms failure was was actually caused by a very short power cut as the Oven Clock was flashing in the morning, but the power cut was so short the Sunny Island did not go into whole house backup mode but long enough for the Grid point monitor to reboot.

I purposely set the SI whole house backup for delayed action to ensure WiFi sockets go off and the car charger circuit gets disabled so the SI does not get overloaded when its takes the house off the grid.
