I am also located in the East Midlands, and the Octopus SS is stated as 6pm -7pm as well.

Could there be different timings for each region of the country?

I checked the DFS data portal and it’s 6pm to 7pm.

But my Octopus App is showing 7pm to 8pm. I am guessing it’s because I’m in Hungary but I could have sworn it was showing the correct UK time for yesterday’s session.

The earlier time will be better for me because of more solar.

Participating will make no difference to me as I'm always exporting flat out then anyway... However, even with no extra cash for exporting what I usually do I think I get Octopoints for registering / signing in!

email just in:
There’s plenty of green power in the wires tomorrow, and you know what that means…
Free Electricity Session 2-3pm, Saturday 5th July!

Get ready to fill your boots
Plan to shift any electricified activity into that hour, be it hoovering, laundry or realistically, sitting in front of a fan. The power you'd normally use costs the same. Any extra you use will be free!
I might be able to use some as we have grey skies forecast all day, otherwise it might be difficult!

Did those who got an IOG charge scheduled during the last session get that time at 7p/kWh?
My electricity bill has not come through for June, so I'm unable to check. Perhaps I'll push Octopus to send it.

Has anyone got the results from the last free session.
I was plugged in with a schedule but exported and didn’t charge the car.
Today’s email says results from the 1st session are in but I have nothing on the dashboard.

Not on my Octopus account yet, but the savings session calculator (https://savingsessions.streamlit.app) says

session import export baseline saved rewd earnings
2025-07-01T18:00:00.000 0.02 2.19 -2.85 0.19 24 0.03
2025-06-30T18:00:00.000 0 3.47 -2.85 0.62 64 0.08
2025-06-04T20:00:00.000 0 1.67 0.00 1.67 160 0.2
2025-04-22T18:00:00.000 0 3.39 -2.84 0.55 56 0.07

Hardly worth bothering!
(The account does show a credit for 160 points on 18/6, so it shows the date they credit the points with no reference to the actal session date.)

I got 51p from the last SS.

Am interested to see how I’ll be credited for the last power hour though. Hoping for 7.4kW * 25p (or whatever peak electric cost these days). However the cephalopod might think I’ve got a 6A charging point and credit me according to that…

3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger
