Didn’t realise how much fossil fuels are in a battery

This is a fascinating thread on how over half a battery is comprised of graphite which comes in many forms. The one in batteries is from fossil fuels. There is link to an article as well.

Lets not get silly about carbon in batteries. It is a stable form - no gaseous as in carbon dioxide which is the problem with burning fossil fuels.

Oil should be preserved for use to make recyclable plastics where appropriate. Just stop burning the stuff!!!
