You basically use the “pipe” character to make nice, evenly spaced, tables. The functionality is very basic but it’s pretty easy to get the hang of.

Although I am not in it, I signed my father up to it and I did his "tasks" for him. He did not win any of the big weekly prizes, but he managed to reduce his gas by 6%, which was probably more to do with a mild winter than anything else.

Anyway, he has received an email saying his share of the remaining £840k pot is £7.10 so I suspect 118,000+ other Octopus gas customers also managed it.

We were part of it and saved 16% which was quite good for us - didn't win any prizes but got the £7.10 and donated to NEA charity.
