Yes I understood.

In the winter you are best turning the diverter off and putting it into the batteries and then using the cheap rate to heat the hot water. That way you don't have to put so much in the batteries so the fan won't come on as much.

Yes I understood. Battery charging already has priority as there has to be >100W export to turn diverter on, so this doesn't happen until SoC is 100% anyway. Is working OK; I can see this transition taking place on the Victron perfomance plots.

No such thing as a free lunch and all low-hanging fruit picked already, unfortunately.
