Thebeeman wrote: Fri Aug 25, 2023 2:38 pm Just for info. I've just bought a 5Kw Pylontech battery for £1255.50. Vat included but not carriage, I'm close enough to collect. That price is with a 10% sale discount.

If you are looking for one now seems to be the time.
Excellent that you can collect, straight forward hook up into existing? Cables included?

Yes interlink cable inc.
Move existing bank and add this as master once voltage equalised, I hope.

Always wondered is the US5000's come with slightly longer power and network cables? A very seductive option, the old plug & play. 👏 👏

I’ve just researched this, the US5000s do come with a slightly longer cable (210 or 200mm), as opposed to the 180mm cables that come with the US2000s.

New 5 KW installed and working, very easily balanced before final connections, just in time for this 'heat wave' to maximise the solar. To my surprise even the earth link cable was included, which I discovered after I'd bought a new crimp tool and crimps for the job.

Colin. Thanks for the info but I can fit a ready built battery but am not up for building one from a kit, beyond my capabilities I'm afraid.
