Clean up of powder extinguisher will be fun!

The items in the link are getting used more inside consumer units, interesting product
Thanks for that. A neat solution i hadnt heard of.
I know about the clean agent extinguishers for lifepo4 fires, but they are extortionate in the size we would need, and if it ever got to that point the FB would be on call anyway.

The powder one we have ordered will do the whole 8×4 shed x2 and cover all wiring and appliances.
bar the batteries of course, which should withstand such a fire easily.
If an electrical fire did break out, it would be a complete replacement of the appliances involved, so cleaning up powder is the least of the problem.

Definately not, enough space for a chill out area, but we will be building another shed in the near future that could be an eacapr. For now the conservatory is that place. Too cold for most this time of year. 👍

Thank you.
Its lioks more planned than it was. A lot of continual changes. I certainly wasnt expecting a cement ahed inside a ply shed inside a metal shed to emerge, but im quite happy with it and thats rhe main thing!
Not sure ive seen yours though Resy

Maybe we all need a link to our setups in our signatures so its easily noseable

Looks great NoraBatty... :praise:

Useful info on the wheels too.. I will definitely be cautious when the time comes to move my batteries into their new home.

I was just going to nonchalantly wheel them in from the house to the garage. Didn't give it a second thought that the wheels could struggle going over certain terrain.

Yes do not trust them an inch.
If you can put them on a dolly/sack truck/ engine hoist to move, do so, or make sure you have someone with you to grab something like a bit of wood to prop a corner up.

They felt sturdy enough, and lovely and smooth rolling, but just disintegrated with small undulations in the pavers.

Hope you are as happy as i was with mine. Despite the faults.

I've still got the crates they came in...

Might put them back in and use the hand truck I got them into the house with, to move them back into the garage when the time comes.

Did you go for the ready built ones?!
Ours came in carboard boxes, but admittedly were the DIY version.
A wooden box likely would have stopped one of mine getting banged up, unless it happened factory side.

I got mine from Colin... Preassembled 2x 15kWh ones.

Currently residing in the house until garage doors are put on, in case anyone wants to wheel them away.

After reading what happened to you though, they might not get far, so I might find them on the driveway with the bearings everywhere!

I think you will be okay, they are completely different wheels to mine, but certainly worth being careful.
Very nice looking batteries too :xl:
