Follow our WhatsApp Channel to hear about Surprise Sessions. These are Sessions (often with higher rewards) where we won't have enough notice to invite you via email or app. Find out more.
Get the Octopus app and turn on notifications to hear about all other Saving Sessions.
Yet another social-media type bribe - i.e. freebie for those on the inside? It reinforces my annoyance about the extent of "digital exclusion"
Don’t worry it’s bullshit. The WhatsApp has been super slow. Literally hours after the other channels. Generally you can find out on here or Twitter or other places between 8-9am, the session goes live in the app arround lunchtime, the the WhatsApp sends a message about 4pm.

5pm to 6pm tonight with requirement volume of 200MW, thats about half of normal so I'm wondering what the payout will be under the new competitive tendering regime with no guaranteed underpin.

WTF, generating surplus of 20GW at 6pm, I'm going to give up trying to forecast the day.

Wind gen high but we are importing quite a lot so maybe they’re experimenting with savings vs import to balance whilst letting wind blow - perhaps that’s cheaper?

If we are importing with minimal gas generation it means the imports are typically cheaper than gas.

Saving Sessions are very expensive.
