now the pendulum has swung. What are the chances of a Power Hour over the next few days?

3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

That’s a shame, the turkey was looking forward to a free hour 🤣 he will have to put up with octopus vanilla instead.

I saw that KH was at max earlier.

For a free power hour Its got to be very windy and a low demand day so weekend (outside of peak period), or Xmas period and it being mild. That last free Xmas power was 2020 and was announced ahead of an accurate forecast but was 8am to midday.

I got a rebate of £6.50.

My Ripple payout this month has already overtaken last month and wind looks like back to normal winter windy, will easily cover my net import, at least in terms of cash whilst the 15p / kWh export booty is still available. :xx:
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 27MWh generated
6 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 520 m3

You reduced power by 1.435 kWh compared to normal, earning you 696 octopoints. (That's £0.87)

“You reduced power by 0.268 kWh compared to normal, earning you 136 octopoints. (That's £0.17)

⚡ Together, customers in Southern England managed to reduce power by 12.517 MWh. That's the same amount of carbon as driving 31295 miles!”

Mine says
Thanks for taking part in our Saving Session on 11th December. You were one of over 750,000 people who saved power to support the grid and stop fossil fuel generators firing up – a big hug for the planet at the busiest time of day!
Here's a quick look at the difference your efforts made:
⚡ You reduced power by 2.956 kWh compared to normal, earning you 1424 octopoints. (That's £1.78)
⚡ Together, customers in North Wales, Merseyside & Cheshire managed to reduce power by 5.056 MWh. That's the same amount of carbon as driving 12641 miles!
⚡ And the big one... collectively, Octopus customers have saved 108.511 MWh so far this winter, preventing over 43.2 metric tons of carbon emissions from entering the atmosphere — that's the same as driving a car around the earth 8.7 times!

Top 3 energy-saving regions in the Regional Rumble:
1. South Wales 54.62% power reduction
2. South West England 54.58% power reduction
3. North Wales, Merseyside, Cheshire 54.12% power reduction
As I exported instead of being grid-neutral as usual at that time of day I'm guessing I shall have a credit for the energy exported, plus the octopoints?
It's surprising how close the 3 top regions are!
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!
