If your battery inverter is a SOLIS RAI-3K-48ES 5G,

G98 Certificate,
https://zerohomebills.com/wp-content/up ... oupled.pdf

G99 Certificate,
https://zerohomebills.com/wp-content/up ... oupled.pdf

Looks like you have to dig info about G100 out of latest installation manual v1.1
Section 5.5.8

16.9kW PV > 107MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 22MWh generated

105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

Thanks, yep had already searched for Ginlong but no beans - I have emailed UKPN as all the Solis AC and hybrids are only listed under PV. Yes had also now discovered the 'self declared' G98 and G99 certs from that site and added them to my folder of 'stuff' and thanks for the pointer for G100 - since I have 4kW PV + potentially 3kW storage output, do I need to declare a "G100 export limitation scheme"?

Usually because its would normally be done via a G99 fast track application but I cannot find any such info about that on the UKPN website. But your application seems to be able to be done via their "Smart Connect" online service.

Yes that's what I'm drafting - it's already told me that they would need further assessment as the inverter isn't on the ENA type test register, but the G100 export option states "Does or will the premise have a single G100 export limitation scheme?" - if I tick 'no', then I only need to supply the G99 and they assess, if I tick 'yes' then I need to fill in "Total premise export capacity, based on setting of G100 compliant export limitation scheme", which if I set to 6.68kW (3.68+3) I am them also asked to "Please attach a description of export limitation scheme operation including a description of the fail-safe functionality." - so I'm puzzled :? I'm wondering if the reference to the failsafe mechanism in section 5 of the manual would be sufficient?

You put 3.68kW (this is the max export to the grid) for the "Total premise export capacity, based on setting of G100 compliant export limitation scheme", but you still may need to explain the G100 scheme.

You can try and submit "No" and attach the G99 certificate but, you may be charged for the assessment and they may still come back and say you need a G100 export limitation scheme and please provide the details.

Some manufactures have certificates or supplements showing their G100 compliance.

The device not yet being on the ENA type test register might be a problem for you.

Best to try and get away with just stating that the inverter has a compliant G100 limiting device. The reality is that many (most?) don't, as to comply with G100 the user must not be able to turn the export limit off. Most Chinese inverters allow user access to the settings, perhaps with a simple password (that is often in the manual anyway) and so strictly speaking they don't meet the anti-tamper requirement in G100. I don't think this has ever really been tested, though, most DNOs seem OK with just accepting what they are told on the form now.
25 off 250W Perlight solar panels, installed 2014, with a 6kW PowerOne inverter, about 6,000kWh/year generated
6 off Pylontech US3000C batteries, with a Sofar ME3000SP inverter

Thanks okay that makes sense, I may wait until UKPN come back to me on the listing error as the only reason it's flagged as not being on the ENA register (which it seems to be) is that their database isn't matching it from the 'known' list of inverters, which they have but just under the wrong category...at least I have some idea of the 'paper-based' admin I need to do (aside from figuring out the ancillaries and finding a spark willing to touch it and make the connection to my CU!)

Hi

New to the forum, but happened to come across this post as I have exactly the same set up I am trying to get approved. I already have an existing 3.99kWp PV set up with a SolarEdge SE4000 inverter which I believe would have been registered by the MCS installer (who went bust) back in the days

ITS are due to send me the Solis Rai 3kw AC inverter on Friday and apparently the US5000 is awaiting shipment in September.

Aiming to get the gear set up so can I plug in the battery when it arrives.

I am also with UKPN, and looking at this thread I believe I have the exact same process as you to add a 3kw AC inverter to an existing 4kw system.

Did you happen to go the G98 route to install a system under 3.68kW via Smart Connect?

I have also found this fast track process for batteries. Has anyone gone though this process vs the g98 or smart connect?

Just double checked the ENA site,

The AC inverter is somehow hidden, you have to search 48ES and no other selection to find it for some reason.
