Thanks for jumping in & introducing yourself Adrian, alternate presence on boards such as this may help a lot indirectly (as no self advertising is in place here) so thanks for not linking in your shop, & yes, keep the costs down & hope to make it through on service & fast movement of stock... understandable in my book.

That's it - button pushed - 2nd Sunsynk 5.12kWh battery ordered :D
Hopefully arrive in time to make the most of this spring and summer - then need to get over to Octopus and get 'economy 7' type tariff sorted to take advantage of overnight battery charging too

I switched to Octopus last year, onto an Economy 7 tariff. I don't have a smart meter but they were very efficient and moved me within 3 days of application. Been very pleased with them and their rates. Give them a call and I'm sure they can help you.

We're trying to get SoEnergy to pay back some of our accumulated credit before we try to move to Octopus.
We have a smart meter, which I think is Octopus ready - Smets2 - then just need to decide which of their many tariffs to choose - I'm not clear if Go really is only for EV users, and Cosy is only for HP users

Same here except that they fitted a Smart Meter for me, after some strong pushing.

Ring them up and demand it back...
https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consu ... -supplier/
When to claim
You can claim credit at any time. But you should probably leave money on your account during summer and autumn to cover higher energy costs in winter.
Before claiming back any money, think about:
whether you’re likely to have higher energy bills in the months ahead
if it will be difficult to pay your bills without keeping the credit on your account
If the amount you’re owed is more than the amount you pay as a monthly direct debit, you might want to claim back the difference.
How to claim
Contact your supplier and tell them how much credit you’d like them to refund you. Their contact details should be on your bill or online account.
You’ll need to give them an up-to-date meter reading. Check how to read your gas or electricity meter if you’re not sure.
Your supplier might not give you a refund if they have a good reason. For example, they might not give you a refund if you only have a small amount of credit on your account during summer. This is because you’re likely to need the credit for your higher bills during autumn and winter.
If your supplier says they won’t give you a refund, they must explain their decision.
