I don’t understand how the (retail) price can be so low for so long and yet no power hour.

Maybe “they’re” ok with the amount of commercial BESS currently online so don’t feel they need to pull a demand lever? Dunno?

My daily variable tariff is as low today as I can remember since I signed up - 10.4p/kWh. Alas not at home to turn some stuff on!

What a dfference a few degrees of East makes! We had a grey day, only got 10 kWh off the roof and ran out of batterty before the end of the export period... Caught me out, so I was importing a dribble from midnight and recharged to 20% at 2am.
I see that there is enough wind already today for the pumped storage to be taking 0.4GW / 0.4% right now. It certainly was very windy last night.

And only charging 7p for imports whenever I want it.

It will go one day, it has been speculated on the facebook group that it might go at the end of the year when all of us will have migrated over to the variable tariff so the fixed 15p can be changed with a month notice. Folk started to roll over to the variable export tariff on renewal from around November last year.

Ssshhhh! They seem to be reading us...

Actually, if that is an EV tariff I don't mind too much if it stop,s as I currently pay 17p for "cheap" rate import and only get 10.5 for daytime export - and 30.6 for evening peak.

Not sure how they can be cutting anyone from 15p export to 7p....when they're advertising a 15p export tariff on their website....unless they've decided this is just for domestic customers now.
