Looks like I'm setting my alarm. :xx:

And try and game cheap IOG slots over that period for the x3.7 multiplier.

I note the email from Octopus is advising folk with IOG to use "Bump Charge" during this time.

Excuse my ignorance but do you get octopoints for free power hours ?

Moxi

Edit Nowty why are you setting an alarm for 7 am ? Surely EVERYONE in the country is already up and about by 6 am ? Well that’s what my kids think happens anyway

No, you get charged the normal rate and then get an account credit a week or so later. But some of us have found that if you game a cheap slot, you get charged cheap rate but still get a peak rate credit. ;)

Got it saving session!

So given the recent demise of the sessions is it safe to assume octopoints will be earned via different routes or simply phased out ?

I have done all that I can in advance, which is not a lot: cut back my normal Flux battery charge, set an extra one for 7am (up to 100%) and set the alarm for 7 am so I can switch the immersion on. Maybe I'll run a fan heater downstairs and boil a kettle too to pre-heat the house for us!

(and my octopoints trickle in from sending meter readings.)
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!
