Exactly my plan. Storage heaters got a 3 hour boost yesterday and the PHEV/DIY stack was charged. Looks like I got through 33kWh in those 3 hours compared to the usual zero (and then zero again during the SS) so lets see how the maths works out.

Tomorrow will probably be less as now the car is charged (its only about 8kWh) I can't charge it again!

Has anyone checked if there is a fair usage policy or a limit on how much in day adjustment we can clock up.
I bottled out yesterday as I've just changed from the 5/ 10p go tariff to the 10/ 40.6p Intelligent tariff and the thought of purchasing leccy at over 40p a unit was beyond my comprehension.
Today I stress tested my new system and spent 3 hours checking if anything was getting too warm. Much easier than checking at 4am.😁

I didn’t opt in on the 19th allegedly, I have queried it and they asked if I took a screenshot. I have opted in for every other session so I am hoping they’ll have some sympathy.

for those of us on the outside, what are they worth? A stuffed Octopus toy for 100,000? Or a penny a point - so £460 off your bill?
Is it like the free car-charging points at supermarkets, where my bill at that shop goes up a bit to pay for it, or is the Grid underwriting it - in which case everyone on the outside pays?
Actually I am stirring: I can see that it might only cost the grid half as much to pay people to switch things off as it would have cost them to go looking for that much extra power.

8 points is £0.01, or we’d all be doing rather well! 28952 points for me.
