That's why you need the 100A DNO fuse upgrade.
Ah but apparently... Bless 'im. ;)
I am going to check and see if I can get it upgraded.
I blew a 60amp fuse in November ( didn’t know it was 60 as it was hidden by previous owners building work) there was an 80 next to meter.
National grid were very good, at the property within 2 hours of me calling.
I was pulling 21kw when it blew.
They moved the meter outside and put a 100amp in but put an 80 amp in the sub main right next to the 100amp.
Electrician is going to swap it for a 100 as it’s within 3m of the fuse board so wasn’t needed.

The problem with fuses is they often don't mark what is fitted.

When my 2 supplies were changed to 3 phase one meter installer installed 100A fuses, as marked on the carrier. The other meter installer fitted 80A, I think, but just defaced the 100A carrier marking but didn't write on what he had fitted. Both meter boxes are next to each other, connected to the same incoming cable, with the same diameter cable.

Well worth it Iain. I was about £190 and they were quick.
Joe, did you have to fill in a form stating the need for an upgrade to request the change?

My plan to entice the Octopus via the IO tariff to extend me the early in day adjustment slot 5am to 8am on the 19th all at cheap rate worked. Normally 5:30 to 8:00 would have been at peak rate but I've just received the bill for that day.
