Big rants on the myenergy forum about Zappi chargers not compatible.

I would have thought probably the most popular smart charger would have been a priority for octopus to make compatible. Easier I am sure than to do individual car makes??

Well first night. All my home stuff worked but the EV did not charge. Plugged EV in and it immediately started to draw power. Left it for 15 minutes and it didn't cut out so manually paused it through charger app. Octopus didn't override that pause. I'll drop them a line this morning maybe. Anyone else from other brands had this issue or similar?

On the other hand, core SH kicked in for the full 6 hours and GCH downstairs didn't so that's a plus.

Worst case on the car I'll just plug it in later at night and set to sub 3kW on the charger app and let it run.

The main thing is 6 hrs @ 10p, the rest is frippery and at a Beta stage. ;)

I read through this last night if anyone interested?

Maybe set the car at a lower charge rate ( if possible)early evening and get an out of hours slot and see if it starts charging having manually stopped it when you plug it in.
Otherwise it might be the setting in the car blocking IO from charging.

The leaf "thing" is this early decade old leaf variant, or the latest version OR, every generation of what was the most popular EV on the road for a good number of years? ..if the latter then how has it caused problems & why has it been leapfrogged in favour of other brands ..for purpose of context.

Thanks, I'll give that a go. There are no schedules or settings on the EV itself. I am interested in where I find info on out of hours slots. Is that a message akin to the nightly charging schedule?
I'm chilled about it as its day 1 problem and Beta. I'll mess about with it over the next week or so then contact Octopus.

Hi Mr Gus, The same thoughts crossed my mind as I was ticking the boxes and was expecting to have to state year or battery size and was surprised when neither appeared.
It is rather frustrating as I've discovered with V2H/G, but hoping to be resolved in the coming months with the Indra trial. Providing of course there are no objections from the local DNO or contractors following their site visit!

This screenshot shows you the page you need with the schedule on it.
Let IO do its thing and maybe don’t play with the charging setting on the car when you plug it in.
Have you got smart charge turned off on the charger?

That photo matches last night. 👌
I'll plug in and leave at 6 amps for an hour tonight to see if Octopus will take it over and pause it. I don't have a smart charger button to turn off but the scheduling button is greyed out and Octopus do message me to say they can't communicate when I pull the tether.

As far as I can see its all inline for them to switch it on & off.
