But if my export MPAN number gets applied soon, there might still be some power saving shenanigans at Nowty Towers.
I’m thinking the same, been waiting 8 days 😡
However things are looking quite favourable if you have invested in solar, batteries, EVs etc
I was in on their (national grid) webinar a month or so back and I thought they said they were going to measure export as well as import for the baseline and the actual saving session.

I read through the latest DFS docs this afternoon and I think its on, so us battery folk (with an export MPAN) can still make some reasonable payback if we can get our systems to force discharge during the saving session.

Just haven't got the export MPAN yet.

Also in the T&C’s for the Octoplus sessions.

This is sounding better and better, Ned to get more storage organised pronto

I heard back from Octopus and they sent the link from earlier in the post.

At the moment, I have 4 tabs (devices being IO for EV) but no octopoints tab. I also updated the app this morning.

I've been back in touch with Octopus and will update later. I also have octopoints page from last year. Wondering if they have not yet coded the app for 5 tabs?

On the app in account section I have a display saying 'your octopoints'. When I click on it I am shown balance as was and list of last years sessions. Maybe still live. Odd though?

Thanks for all the info, I've downloaded the App and signed up for the savings sessions.
Does the line above suggest that exporting during the sessions would increase the total of our savings as currently with storage batts we use precious little anyway so this would make it far more interesting and surely would help with reducing demand upon the Grid from FF sources?

Unfortunately we do not appear eligible for Octopus powerups although reading through I see mention of requirement for an export MPAN. We have a smart meter with half hour billing so is this not already recorded here?

Apologies for all the questions, just struggling to keep abreast of it all.

No, even if yr meter has an export register and so is technically suitable (no idea if this is usually the case) they still need to allocate an export MPAN to it.
