You lose a cell of capacity and will have to change inverter settings perhaps, but the stack will be back in action at least.
I had thought about that. But I don't think I'm going to touch any of the nuts again unless I notice any issues. Reconfiguring would increase the chances of another post detaching.

Well, Colin, has got back to me already. His support is perfect.

Unfortunately the company he used who laser weld the posts on accidentally used the wrong power setting.

Unfortunately I am now down 16kWh when I really need it during the winter :<
Hi Andy

Sorry for this happening
Yes, we will take care of that

Trying to talk to some contacts, see if they have UK stock for this Grade A 280K cells
If they have , we will arrange the reship directly from UK
We know the winter is coming , and energy needs

If not have UK stock
We can also arrange the EU stock shipment , but can only to the EU country
Still working on that , and i will have feedback before Friday

Thanks
Colin
Hi Colin,
thanks for the assistance with sorting this out so promptly, it is appreciated.

Just ensure that the replacement cell is welded at the correct power settiing if you go this route and want the cell. :xl:

If not needed, let me know, cheers.
Hi Joe, thanks so much for that offer. I've PMd you via text

Thanks to everyone for help. Joe has sorted me out with a temporary fix and Colin is sorting me out with a replacement so I'll be back on my feet once I've charged up the cell. My charger is advertised at 10A but is currently only pushing out 5A :<. I think the wires and clips are rubbish so might look to replace them. Just bending the connections gives another 2-3W

Ive just added total cell monitoring. I used batmon by a chap called Fabin. This is installed on an old pi 3B I had in the drawers. It scans the BLE connection of all the BMS and can then write the data directly to influxDB. I've added a display to my Grafana setup.

Interesting the first batch still haven't balanced yet. I've got an 8A balancer on order so I'll hopefully be able to speed things up a bit. If I get another batch of cells, I think I'll top balance them first.

Oops, I meant balancer. I've ordered this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007 ... 1802Lpd896

I also recently bought this charger from amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C1SHFTNN? ... asin_title
Cheap as chips but can only do a set voltage or CC. There is no tail current support. From what I have read else where I need to change the connectors and wires as I don't seem to get above 5-6A. When people have done that, they get 10A. It's meant to support 10A. Tightening the connectors gives me an extra .5 A alone. I got it a lot cheaper (£48) in the black Friday sales.

Andy at off grid garage as a few links to chargers that also discharge allowing a test of cell to monitor its capacity over time .https://off-grid-garage.com/measurement ... analisers/ I would have wanted the EBC-A40L but can't afford it right now.

The DL24P testers don't seem to have a good rep on the other forums.

Cheers Andy,
Understood. I am vaguely looking about for 230Vac to 48/52Vdc charger. Somewhere around 8A so I can augment my overnight charging or take from the EV to the homestack

I'm using the Eltek for that. But it's a bit more work setting up as you'll need to program a controller. I spoke to Fogstar about this one for the same reason. I can't charge my stack in the 7 hour window at the moment. 1.6kW which should work with the car or a small generator.

Its on back order

Good afternoon,

Thank you for getting in touch.
I can confirm that we will be stocking more of these chargers however we are looking at lead time of around 8-10 weeks. Apologies for this.

Kind regards,
Matthew
