The whole explanation of what charger & EV can be used is not very precise either. I think they mean at the moment its (Tesla Charger OR Wallbox Pulsar Charger) AND Tesla EV, but it can be read as (Tesla Charger AND Tesla EV) OR Wallbox Pulsar Charger.

I'm guessing its the former - but they could make it clearer!

The Octopus offering are getting a bit a Tesla-centric aren't they!
I think it can be a Wallbox Pulsar Plus Charger (with any other EV) but it has to be one with the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) which mine does not have but as I have a Tesla, its done with controlling the car instead of controlling the charger.

The SMETS2 specification for the meter clocks states that they should be "shall be capable of operating so as to be accurate to within 10 seconds of the UTC date and time under normal operating conditions".

Our leccy meter was 5 minutes out on installation...took some prodding but Octopus did eventually did the remote reset which worked. I did have to quote the specs to them though :D It is buried in the Smart Energy Code too so its a requirement that they provide equipment that operates to that spec.

HTH
Funny enough I did recently read the official spec on my smart meter and found that it was possible to remotely correct it. I keep meaning to contact them about it but have got used to working around it.

Anyway, thanks for clarifying that Octopus can do it.

Not surprisingly Octopus wants to delay charging my car till 00:30 when the Agile import price is actually negative tonight. Got to let the Octopus win occasionally.

Looking good;

Lovely sun today, everything in the house is full so I decided to plug the car in for a little charge at reduced power so I was about to do a "Bump" charge via the Octopus APP and to my surprise the Octopus wants to charge the car now and has given me more cheap slots this afternoon.

Must be the Sun and Wind at play.

But I don't need any cheap import this afternoon Octopus !, Nowty Towers is currently self sufficient even with the car charging !, so sorry Octopus, your 5p / kWh is too expensive vs my free solar power station. :mrgreen:

Good day here as well, lead acids at 100% but the 8Kwh of Growatts only managed 89% as the panels are NE facing. Solar thermal has also been dumping to the Central heating.

The Octopus Intelligent APP has been updated today so you can now ONLY set a "Car Ready By Time" time between 4am and 11am so I cannot be naughty and set a departure time of 00:30am anymore. :evil:

Fair enough though, 4am is still pretty early. :D

EDIT - I think that dammed Octopus is reading my thread. :lol:

Reading-the-thread or not-reading-the-thread, you're definitely the reason for the change!

When do Octopus send out bills for their intelligent tariffs? I've not had one since I changed to one some time ago.
