I missed the last one due to high likelyhood of returning home with a major calorie deficit around 18:30 . . ..

But it doesn't matter any more as I'm only using approx 1 kWh per week since the Solar PV install. . . . seven weeks ago now.

In my previous saving session I managed 8 Octo points . . . i.e. the only Grid power I use seems to be Inverter balancing.

Hurrah, the planet can be saved !!
4 kWp Solar PV : 50%/50% SE/SW : Solis Hybrid 3.6 : Pylontec 9.6 kWh
5 kW & 4kW Air-to-Air Mitsubishi Heat Pumps
Ripple : Graig Fatha & Kirk Hill . . . . plus various other renewable projects.
No Car : bicycles : bus & train

I doubt its an onboarding session, as the suppliers onboarded this month have now had their two onboarding sessions plus one test session. I cannot believe new suppliers are starting their onboarding this close to the end of the winter scheme. Its possible that its the second test session (non onboarding) for only those new suppliers.

We will know at 2:30pm, if the test requirement is around 100 MW, no dice.
But if its around 300 MW, game on.

25 MW requirement onboarding which begs the question, is there a summer campaign ?

You were right Tinbum.

Game over for now.

Looks like next winter's campaign will be different, one of the key areas is measuring the baseline. :?

There is a 2 week consultation going on until 3rd April for next winters campaign.
https://www.nationalgrideso.com/industr ... lexibility
Scroll down that page and there are a number of documents dated March 2023.

On one of them,
https://www.nationalgrideso.com/documen ... 1/download

Q&A number 16
Q
"Do you think that incentivising to charge up home battery system before the DFS so consumers can maximise the DFS periods"

A
Consumers charging their home battery system before the peak to minimise usage during the peak is in general a good thing to achieve the aims of DFS; namely to make demand lower over the period than it would otherwise have been. However, the within-day adjustment element of the baseline methodology means that this can effectively over-inflate the ascribed demand reduction, as the baseline looks artificially high due to the charging.
Baselines is one of the key areas we’re looking for suggestions for improvement on as part of our call for input.

In another document,
https://www.nationalgrideso.com/documen ... 6/download

Rulebook
Through our engagement with providers on the current DFS, we have a sound understanding of the challenges and concerns parties hold such as PANs and baselines, many of which were because of the compressed timescales. In this section we seek to explore proposals and potential solutions as to
how we could take these topics forward for a potential future service.

Whilst we do have the opportunity to review these, significant amendments such as building new platforms or running tenders to select partners may not be feasible for this winter 23/24 and we ask parties to be cognisant of such factors when sharing their proposals.

Do you have any specific recommendations to amend the current baseline methodology which you believe would provide benefits such as reduced gaming risk, enhanced accuracy, reducing perverse incentives and ease of application? We welcome thoughts on the assumption a future service is dispatched within day. Are there any additional considerations regarding baselines and performance verification you believe that need to be catered for in moving a future service to within day?

Apparently octopus used the wrong window for the in day adjustment window and used T-0 to T-3, instead of T-1 to T-4
I am 2-3 kWh short on my calculations
