Victron have a thread on this where they have altered their algorithm to use the read max cell voltage in the pack and adjust the charge voltage down to keep any max cell voltage below 3.5v (recalling value from memory).

I now have incorporated this into my Teensy setup to do the same.

BTW any link to an idiot’s guide to getting this set up and ideally accessible from HA would be much appreciated!

Not that I know of.

I incorporated it into my setup where I directly read the CAN messages from the batteries, alter them as required and then send them on to the inverter.

Is there any way of checking the SOH of individual packs?

I've clearly got a major problem when over 19kWh of battery packs now take less than two hours to go from 20% to 100% via a 3kW inverter!

You don't say whether you got the minicom working . . . . . but if you did .. . . . . there is the "stat" command which shows more detailed BMS statistics.

In theory stat [n] should give you the SOH for the individual units . . . . . [ Servtech documentation ]

On my system I can only get a non-zero SOH value for the Master battery ( i.e. where the console lead is plugged ).

While Console cable in Master Battery - stat 2 / stat 3 / stat 4 . . . . . all show zero values for SOH . . . . although the values of other stat parameters vary between the four units. [ I don't understand what is going on here. ]

Maybe moving the Console cable to specific units would show the SOH for that specific unit .

Yes, pretty sure you should be able to see them in BatteryView. An overall SOH is transmitted over CAN as well.

Which value is SOH in the stat output?

This is my master battery ...

Sorry, it looks like I have misled you. I'm guessing that your battery is an older model than my 2000C.
EDIT : I see that you have 2000B . . . . .

If you see below, my 2000C Master battery has an explicit "SOH" value of 99. ( All others have a SOH of zero. )

I'm guessing that the SOH is a calculated value that is only presented at specific points on the various interfaces.
I can also see a SOH of 99 using the minicom "pwrsys" command. . . . i.e. calculated for the whole battery stack.
I cannot find SOH anywhere in BatteryView.
ServTech doc does NOT show SOH in as minicom "stat" output. ( I'm guessing it's from an older battery model, than 2000C. )

I better fall silent now before I waste you time any further. I suggest that you contact Pylontech UK support, so that you (eventually) get some formal assistance . . . while possible informal support elsewhere e.g. Facebook Pylontech Battery group

There is a guy on EBay who does repairs, cell replacements and other repairs, plenty of good feedback. Having seen a tear down video of one it’s something that I would not attempt myself, except maybe a simple cell rebalance.

I would have a look at the log files for the battery that is playing up. If you can see that it hasn't been subjected to over voltage (of the battery not cell) then contact pylontech themselves and try for a warranty replacement. They are very good if it's not user error.
