You must have a reasonable setup.

Care sharing it, hardware and tariff. ?

I'm away at the moment but at least I opted into the saving session - don't know if it'll make any difference!

Crikey - just popped onto Grid Energy Numbers
Its no wonder the saving session came about yesterday - literally all the burning stuff is basically at full whack. One of those "what happens when the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine and the temperature drops" times.

My iboost decided to heat the water at about 5.55pm, randomly, and I didn’t know what was using the load until I got home 20 mins later
I caught our Eddi diverting all the export about a minute in, until I put it into stop mode. We managed to export a rather pants 2.3kWh.

Growatt SPH 5000 TL BL-UP 5kW hybrid inverter (in storage)

According to my smart meter I managed to export 5.51 kWh with the inverters set to export at 90% of max. I'm not convinced the lux power inverters actually can reach the 3.6kW max inverting power looking at the app figures.
Solar PV: 6.4kW solar PV (Eurener MEPV 400W*16)
PV Inverter: Solis 6kW inverter
Batteries: 14.4kWh LiFePO4 batteries (Pylontech US5000*3)
Battery Inverter: LuxPowertek 3600 ACS*2 battery inverter
WBS: 8kW Hunter Avalon 6 Multifuel burner (wood only)

They have kindly let me have access to their Octopus account so I can do some number crunching and see if it matches how many Octopoints they get. I will have to wait till tomorrow to get their exact session data off but I've already calculated their last 10 working day baselines for each half hour slots. :geek:

Image

Baseline
0.007 kWh net import for 17:30 to 18:00.
0.007 kWh net import for 18:00 to 18:30.

I now have their actual export numbers,
Image

0.858 kWh net export for 17:30 to 18:00.
0.875 kWh net export for 18:00 to 18:30.

So I make that a delta from the baseline of,
0.858 - 0.007 = 0.851 kWh for 17:30 to 18:00.
0.875 - 0.007 = 0.868 kWh for 18:00 to 18:30.

So a total delta of 0.851 + 0.868 = 1.719 kWh

Forecasted Reward
1.719 x £2.25 = £3.86 or 3088 Octopoints

Now we need to wait for the actual results to come in and compare.

Hi Nowty,

Just finished adding more panels, so currently stands at 15kW PV, coupled with 2 x Gen3 5kW inverters each having a 9.5kWh battery.
Not all panels are optimum angles, so I thought a bigger array will always help (works out around 70m2).
I've not seen the potential in better months, but the original set up of 18 panels ( roughly half of current set-up) East/West on multiple flat roof areas managed around 50kWh at its peak daily generation.
I'm hoping for something around 80kWh if I'm lucky!
Only single phase though....

Edit: swapped from Flux towards the end of of October to intelligent Go, and should hopefully swap back to Flux mid March if rates are still good.

My 12kW of panels make 70 kWh in summer so I reckon you might make that mythical 80 kWh day sometime in May. :xx:
I have panels all over the place with shocking shading in winter but I find the more the better.

With regards tariff, are you not better now staying with IOG and getting the 15p / kWh fixed export now that has been increased. On IOG myself and I have signed up for Agile export for the winter (still waiting), but will likely swap to Fixed export at 15p in the spring.
