I have an aging 12Pro, thought about upgrading to the 16hrs for the fancy AI features. However the £2k price tag put me off!
I upgrade my phone every year and the kids every 2 years. With decent re-sale values and a bit of wheeling a dealing with gift card purchases it doesn’t work out too expensive.
Add in a silly cheap sim promotion ala Martin Lewis and the phone is virtually free
Can’t say I’ve used the AI features though
I'd be keen to understand how the "silly sim promotion" works.
The 12Pro has dropped in price, but with 512GB of storage, it is still £1200.
I have a Vodafone plan which is £50 a month for 4x contracts (1x unlimited data that we use instead of broadband, 1x 15GB for child no 1, 2x 5GB for me and the Mrs)
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger
(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

I had a similar plan with EE which was around £50 for all 4, mine didn’t have eu roaming but the other 3 did.
We have 4 contracts now with Lebara , I tested my wife’s SIM first so she got the best deal at 75p a month for 35gb, unlimited texts and calls plus roaming in many countries.
Myself and the kids pay £1 a month for the same package as mrs yuff.
The 110gb package is £1.10 a month

Todays job was upgrading a 30A charge controller solar cable leg from 4mm to 6mm and hard connecting the solar cable to the SWA cable. I previously used SMA Sunclix connectors which use spring clips. They are supposed to be good for 40A with 4mm cable but they were running a little hot for my liking after my one of my latest PV upgrades.
I used the innards of MC4's and both crimped and soldered them all together.
Two layers of heatshrink, should use a heatgun but I haven't got one so its fire time.
Sorry about the FF.
Hopefully should be lifetime job done.
I will see tomorrow what the temp of the cables and the join is at full power.
