Deffo worth a little rinse on one-or-two of the few “working” days over the next few weeks by that logic. On the other hand we’re yet to have a weekend or morning SS so maybe there’ll be a test session during one of those times in the new year?

Are the bank holidays counted as a weekend number in terms of baseline?
I know they are not counted as weekdays. I'm not sure whether they qualify as a weekend, probably are ignored like a saving session day. I will have look and update if I can work it out from the rules.
Had a look at the rules and there are 3 types of day,

Working, Non Working and Saving session days.

So bank holidays are "non working days" and so are weekend days.

There are less "non working days" and those days have lower demand so probably not worth boosting your baseline on non working days.

EDIT - If that makes any sense. :hysteria:, joe public will be thinking WTF.
Makes total sense having spent a year on the forum :geek:
I wasn’t going to make an effort on non working days as they are pretty unlikely to ever have a savings session, so just switching charging EVs and batteries, DHW etc should probably start doing washing, tumble dryer etc as well to boost that number
Thank for the excellent info

I can only dream of your "only £60" savings, lol - I saved £1.52 in total. Not going to complain though.

Only made £60 so far but every little helps. Gonna receive my bill for the late November/early December cold snap any day now. That’ll make interesting reading. Hoping to the the gargantuan amount of energy consumed offset by low prices from the additional IOG cheapslots.

Could be some colder weather coming in the new year, so maybe a return of saving sessions with live sessions. :freezing:
Might be prudent to start bumping up those peak rate baselines after Xmas. ;)

The Octopus is helping me build my baseline during todays peak period, one of the advantages to come home with an empty EV. Those with no exporting ability can play this game with the IOG tariff.

SWMBO is helping boost it with a white washing load and ironing session, plus the chicken dinner is going on at 5pm.

With the bank holidays it should count towards my baseline on a working day until 15th Jan. :xx:
