A lot of Anker & Jackery small scale blackout battery units being sold

& with them excessive expectations borne from lack of understanding how power works, let alone power + solar + seasonality.

Am tempted to make some panel cables for these units & flog so online though, the jackery panels & connections are somewhat extortionate in terms of locking down a system.

Presumably most folks are sitting them on standby fully charged (without solar) but others going the full monty it seems.
Nothing big, the 250 Watt hour units are the typical unit being picked up.

Might mean change down the line or merely a knee jerk reaction, ..likely they'll still want to buy candles.

Just had a quick look on Aliexpress for Jackery cables and it seems the Chinese are already on it.

Indeed, but long posting times oft sway purchases.

The ones I've seen are typically only around 6 foot long end to end.

I fear there will be a plague of people being insane and making widowmaker leads up this winter. Not just for generators, but also for those with EVs that have an AC power outlet. I was reading an EV forum recently where some complete nut job had made up such a lead and thought he was being really clever to just plug his car in to a house socket and run his whole house, after turning off the main switch. Others are bound to copy nutters that post on social media about doing this, and sooner or later harm will come of it.
25 off 250W Perlight solar panels, installed 2014, with a 6kW PowerOne inverter, about 6,000kWh/year generated
6 off Pylontech US3000C batteries, with a Sofar ME3000SP inverter
