Robert Murray Smith is impressed with the simplicity of this product. Just don’t expect the solar panel supplied with it to do the business on a day such as today.

It was seeing those Delta 2 power banks that got me started on this wild and crazy journey into the world of solar panels, battery storage and so on.

A friend showed me a link to the product and I started wondering if you could power your house from a bank of them. That led me to discover (with a great amount of top advice from this forum) that there are far better products available for that purpose. The £ / kWh ratio of these things is pretty steep - about £1k for 1kWh, but of course you're paying for the built in inverter and charge controller, plus the convenience factor.

I guess they're probably aimed at the leisure market, people who want to take their microwave oven on a picnic, or camping, that sort of thing.
