It’s big and heavy but made from cheap materials and it’s probably going into production before too long.

I looked on their website and there is absolutely no info about, https://formenergy.com

1) Efficiency
2) Cycle Life
3) Self Discharge Rate
4) Maintenance ?, sounds similar to a flow battery so does it need pumps ?
5) Does the electrolyte need renewing ?
6) Does it require any other consumables ?

Good luck to them, but its another start up raising many millions with hyped media stories with various vague claims without a single real picture of a working prototype.

There seems to be a huge amount of money willing to invest in any company promising to deliver the next big thing in battery technology. The investors seem to do no due-diligence and seem to know nothing about battery technology. They just think "If I invest in 20 companies one will deliver me a 1000x return and make me rich(er)".

In these circumstances you cannot blame people for forming companies and coveting investment based on pretty much nothing.

The fact that they are saying it works alongside lithium to give 100+ hours of storage suggests to me the charge and discharge rates will be very low.
