Are batteries always what they claim?

Seen similar photo on a smaller scale yet with 10 to 20% battery/80% concrete.

I bought a "6 Ah" battery for our Dyson from eBay. When it died, I opened it up and checked the cells, nowhere near (1.3Ah)

I must admit, 6 Ah was impossible in that size, so I wasn't expecting miracles.

You should still report it to trading standards & ebay

Likely that was sold to folk in all sorts of places & was utterly crap where stated performance & longevity was concerned.

Not doing so makes it harder for honest sellers & manufacturers to service versus "shaft the customer" especially a s "cheap from china has gone by the by (check amazon)

Unfortunately (in our area at least) Trading Standards won't take complaints from the general public any more, they refer you to Citzens Advice who just tell you about making a civil claim through the courts. So TS can't build up a picture of what is going on, useless iMO.

That's a real shame & a sad reality of how screwed "services" pared back year after year, to be run by volunteers, over several hours per week (as our local cab office is) & part of the greater economic problem, rogue traders are not generally honest payers of taxes.... but they are allowed to take root until it is the norm.
