PV excess without tank

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me here as i have a 10kw pv system in the UK with 30kw battery banks, and 2/3 of the year I am getting too much PV but have a combi boiler without tank, I read about diverters but if I am heating water ready to use, what is the difference between water from a 3kw undersink hot water, or a 8kw shower? (i have a mixer shower which had been run by a immersion but now condensing combi

In the winter obviously most in the uk are not getting excess solar so am thinking is it worth getting such a tank and diverter vs the above devices?

I am not on a tariff where i can sell pv back and prefer not to be.

thanks

Andrew

Have you considered a heat battery? Something like the Sunamp device?

Do you know if these can work in parallel with a combi boiler and what the warranty period might be?

I'm sure that the advice at "the other place" was that you can supply pre-heated water to (some?) combi-boilers and the gas doesn't fire up if it's not needed...
A

Okay that is in series with the combi; there doesn't seem to be any advantage in this sunamp over a heat pumped hot water tank before the combi then?

not long ago someone here described a thermal store - or 2, or 1 in parallel with a heat pump? - designed to get very hot at the top but with 2 or even 3 thermostatic mixing valves designed to draw off water (heat) blended to give the desired output temp. Maybe useful?

This is for my daughter's house rather than mine but I was hoping to keep it simple.

I am keen she should have an A2A system for the shoulder months, using a mixture of solar PV and cheap rate electricity stored in her 10.5kWh pylontech battery. I think she will still depend on gas combi for winter heating and water.

So it looks like a heat pump dhw cistern in the loft with the combi is the way to go with the immersion topping it up to 60C from whatever the heat pump is best to. Plumbing is the devil in the detail.

I think the advantage is system simplicity overall - just one device to add. But if you're open to adding a hot water tank then I guess it might not be advantageous.

I am going to have to check that it will fit through the loft hatch but even then 136kg is quite a weight to get up there.
