The Zappi was revolutionary when released, and the Eddi was unique as a solar diverter that integrates neatly with an EV charging point. Releasing a battery storage device that integrates with the ecosystem has been a no-brainer for years and been a long time coming. Therefore it has been a little disappointing to see MyEnergi just slap their badge on a KSTAR inverter. What’ve they been doing all these years when they’ve been telling us they’re developing their own battery storage product?

I have been chatting to the owner of the dry cleaners, where we live, who has been waiting for Libbi myenergi system for over 12 months, dates kept getting put back, eventually he gave up and is having the GivEnergy all in one and solar panels installed this week, for half the cost of the Libby myenergi system.

They are both 580V max and the 5kW hybrid versions are both around £2k each.

The libbi does have an optional separate comms unit to integrate to the other myenergy hardware.

But the batteries for both are an eye watering £3.5k to 4k per 5kWh module.

What's taken them so long to roll this out then?

So having had batteries, solar and Ashp’s for 8 months I have a better understanding of our needs.
So a question for the experts on here about what they would recommend going forward.
In the winter we use up 3500 kWh per month during the colder months, although having replaced the radiators, to 90% lower water content ones for the 1st and 2nd floors( ground floor is UF heating), I am hoping they heat the house up quicker and more efficiently.
Octopus IO has worked pretty well and saved quite a lot, however I am thinking of adding storage, possibly the new GivEnergy 13 kWh all in one and maybe some panels. The panels won’t be that easy to fit and will be east facing.
I have added some ripple solar farm for future protection.
Leaning towards the extra battery, any suggestions.
If IO stays as it is I probably don’t need to do anything although our inverter isn’t quick enough, only discharges at 2.6 and charges at 2.4 kw

Why would you replace rads for ones with lower water content? Surely you’d want to do the opposite?
