sofar me3000sp g100

I have a question about the sofar me3000sp inverter.
Can anyone confirm what happens if the grid CT is disconnected.
According to the g100 cert it should ramp down within 5 seconds.

Haven't actually heard of this brand.
What do the German distributors say?

Is your unit doing something it ought not?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience of the issue I have. No definitive answer from Sofar as yet.
Not detecting CT disconnected.

Quite a few on here have them including myself.

However I only use mine now as a supplementary dumb battery charger (without the CTs) so I cannot do the test for you.

The manual does have a error code ID35 for CT Fault so I would have thought if it was running in "Auto mode" and you disconnected the grid point CT, it would go into error mode.

I recall the device still operates correctly without the Solar Generation CT clamp (apart from house load and solar gen being displayed incorrectly), but its the grid point one which is the critical one.

The G100 certificate is here: https://midsummer.ie/pdfs/sofar-g100-declaration.pdf

and says:

4. Response Time
G100 requirement
The ELS must detect an excursion and reduce the export to the Agreed Export Capacity or less within 5 seconds.
·The response time is less than 5 seconds under communication loss between ME3000/SOFAR
INVERTER and Current Sensor.

I might go and check one now..

I agree that's what should happen.
Unable to get that to work.
Either stays at current discharge rate or ramps up to max output.
Using latest firmware 3.2.
That would be great if you could check yours.

Yes, I agree with you - it is not behaving as per the test certificate.

Hardware V1.00
Firmware V3.20 (as yours)
Auto mode (well, strictly speaking time of use mode)

CT disconnected while discharging (first image is before disconnection):

Shows the output ramping up to maximum (causing import).

CT disconnected while charging:

Image

Image

Shows the current slowly ramping down (causing export).

Thanks for the test.
I happy that it's not just me doing something wrong.
I shall continue to hassle Sofar tech support.
Would you mind doing the same?

Jon are you sure you have the Import and Export the right way round? Looks to me as though in you second picture it is exporting not importing?
