Hi
I have been using 2 x sofar ME3000sp linked together for about two years now
had no problems up to now
i have two sets of battery's each containing 32 life po4 bought from colin deng
so 32 batterys to each inverter
i also have 200amp jk bms on each sets of batterys
i have been charging at 52amps from my panels through the me3000 with no problems up to now
it charges then throws a fault ID05 then resets itself then throws a fault again
but if i knock the charge rate down to 20amps it works ok
at the moment i have left it to charge at 20 amps from the sofar
this is happening on both units at the moment
just dont understand why it would do this all of a sudden
any ideas i could try please
grumpy

ID05 fault is battery over voltage. :?

Check the settings and check the actual voltage with a separate voltmeter.

Does it happen with both units ?

Do you have any other charging sources like DC coupled ?

Can you think of anything you have changed over the past year, hardware or settings ?

Hi
I have not changed any settings at all
ive checked the voltage and it is not overvoltage
it keeps faulting even at any voltage
it happens with both units
today i added a dc charger to keep the batterys topped up as i can only put in 20 amps from the me3000
but this has been going on for about a week now

Can you draw a quick sketch of how they are wired?

Hi Nowty and Tinbum
i checked back when i first posted this problem before and it was jan this year
have just been reading that it was you two guys who helped with the problem before
i had the same code in january and i cant remember how it cleared up
but i have been charging ok up to now since then
i will put the same diagram on as before
just seems odd that i can charge at 52amps with no problem then both units will charge no more than 20 amps all of a sudden

hi
our conversation before was on jan 6 2024 at 4.47pm
there is a diagram there and the conversation was about the same code
is there a factory reset on these units that i should maybe try or something like that

Would have been best if you had just continued on that thread.

Has anything been shutdown or have you had a power cut. It's strange that it's started back on both inverters at the same time.

some thing happened the other day
i went to check the battery charge overnight and one of the me3000s had switched itself of totally
it had a blank screen with the ac still on so i switched of the power and rebooted it ac and dc and on it came
very strange
do you think maybe a dodgy unit and where there linked it is affecting the other unit
but i have switched of one unit completely and tried upping the charging rate and it will not have it
it just faults over 20 amps

Go back through and check all the battery charge settings on both the ME3000SP's.
