Anyone know anything about this company: https://www.tomato.energy/?

I've seen they have a 5p/kWh ToU tariff. I'm a big fan of Octopus and one has to consider that the easily-gamed 7p/kWh OIG could be cheaper overall, particularly if you (like me) have a teeny battery.

I can't seem to get that tariff. :(

What name is under?

EDIT Very Strange- went back for another quote and it came up this time. :D

Don't fill in the bits on the right that says 'improve your tariff'. As soon as you add PV or batteries the tariff gets worse!!!

Nice TOU tariff currently, but would not work for me as I need the extra slots and I would also lose the crazy high Octopus fixed export rate.

Very small company, they changed their name twice, looks like currently loss making. One positive is they made it through the energy crisis without failing.

There is currently an open OGEM investigation into them, but its maybe something or nothing.

Feedback a bit mixed but mainly positive.

Recent positive story on them from their areas local rag.

I guess if you have no EV, but home batteries, then its a no brainer to give them a go.

Exactly the same issues, as nowty, here
5p off peak would be great and the same price as when we got our first EV in 2020….. :praise:

When I log on to my new account my tariff has come back slightly different, actually better.

Edit I think its just the way the web page shows it as the actual tariff contract shows;
