I just received my new tariff data from Octopus from 1st April.
Most prices have gone up, as expected.
Standing charge is dwon to 58p from 70p, which is nice
BUT.....

Standard export rate is down from 12.5p to 9.7p!!!! What???

Peak export (4-7pm) is now up to 27p from 24p - but it's going to take quite a bit of peak export to cancel out the loss from standard export - do you guys know if the 15p outgoing is staying the same?

Flux is really good for battery charging in the winter, but wondering if it is worth it in the summer....

when I signed up they hinted that I would probably want to be on Flux through the winter and then on Intelligent Octopus Flux when I had a net surplus to export... hence their emphasis that there is no penalty for changing tariff, maybe just a standard slight delay.

My import rates are all going up 10.6%, flux export stays the same, however peak export is also up 10.6% but, as you say, "day" rate is down 25%!
(Being in the ex-MANWEB area, I am being punished with a 3% increase in the daily charge to 67p, which I think is against the national trend.)

I get the feeling that Octopus are always juggling (maybe in the name of "research") and we are part of an experiment to see what proportion of their customers in the different categories can adapt and make the best of the circumstances! However, unlike most other power suppliers, I don't think they are out to screw us!

You're not alone, mine is going up but only by 0.6%.

We have Go, and 15p export.
Only received an email about go changes so far.

Their email summarized.

Standing charge 59.928p up to 60.304p
Unit rate - day 26.872p up to 28.683p
Unit rate - staying the same. 8.500p

Interesting they will bring out Fixed term Octopus Go soon though.

Standing charge (per day) 65.835p -> 67.827p
Unit rate - day (per kWh) 27.263p -> 30.166p
Unit rate - night (per kWh) 7.000p -> 7.000p

At least the off peak night rate stayed at 7p... Phew!

It's only the night time rate that's any good... The rest isn't great.

I think the best tariff to be on at the moment is actually eon next drive V6 isn't it? Unsure whether you need to have an EV to get on it either (even though it's listed as an EV tariff).

Next Drive Fixed V6 offers fixed priced overnight EV charging 6.7p/kWh between 12am and 7am versus Next Flex standard variable tariff at 24.856p/kWh (national average and will vary by region).

Export rates.. 12 month fixed 16.5p or if 24 month fixed 21p (only if solar is installed by eon the 21p)

Sorry to rub it in.
But i dont have an ev either. Werent required to give any proof for go. Just tried swapping and was allowed.
If it makes any difference weve been on go without batteries for 4 months as i didnt want to chance saying no to the swap and applying again incase they asked

I guess Octopus have to try to stop customers leaving to join EON Next Drive v6. On the Bookface I see lots of people claiming to be moving to EON.

The announcement from Octopus that their night-time charge rate will be significantly MORE (16.344p) than the day-time export rate (10.078p) was a surprise and has prompted me to search for answers to the following question.

Can anyone tell me if the Tesla gateway assesses the next day sunshine forecast to decide whether to charge the batteries in the night or to leave them in whatever partial charge state they are in?

My daily consumption rates vary from 14kWh to 60 kWh per day and the 3x batteries have approx 40kWh storage. In the summer the PV system exceeds my load, but not in the winter or when the sun doesn't shine.
