Soon to be kicked off the Octopus Tesla tariff

Bugger, just had an email from Octopus saying my current Tesla energy plan is coming to an end and that due to changes to the eligibility criteria I no longer meet the criteria.
"we've had to introduce some extra eligibility criteria - solar generation is set at a max of 9kWh declared net capacity per Powerwall and the property consumption between the hours of 07:00 and 19:30 at 9,500 kWh per Powerwall. This typically equates to a total consumption of 15,000 kWh over 12 months or more. The reasons for these changes are that the economics of a symmetrical tariff where import=export only work where the Powerwall storage, solar generation, property consumption reasonably match - for example a property consuming 5kWh with a 25kWh generation attached resulted in us making too great a loss on the tariff due to the high amount of generation at 11p."

That's a bit of a shock.
I noticed the other day reading the terms and conditions that are quite hard to find and interpret, that unless you are on a Fixed Tariff like my Father, the terms and conditions of tariffs can be changed at any time with 30 days notice.
Sounds like the first of several "Fair Use" policies to come.

Octopus have clearly tolerated people making the most of (abusing) their more generous tariffs, to-date. It is good publicity, these customers are their biggest evangelists, and the odd customer here and there who is doing well doesn’t make much of a dent. But when their back is to the wall Octopus is going to go after their most unprofitable customers first.

Fintray, can you go back to Fixed SEG Outgoing and Octopus GO for import ?
I'm guessing that would be the best combination for you.
EDIT - Looks like another condition has changed, so you now only get 3p SEG with Octopus Go.
*Currently, you can't be on both Outgoing Octopus AND Octopus Go, our electricity consumption tariff designed for electric vehicle drivers – but any other consumption tariff is fine. We've made this decision because both are such incredibly good value tariffs that it would be unsustainable for us as a business – the equivalent of letting people buying goods in a shop using a "3 for 2" offer and then bringing them back for a full price refund! The combination of Outgoing and Agile works really well and offers potential for great savings. You can choose to be on Octopus Go and join our new SEG tariff for Outgoing, offering 3p / kWh for your export – just get in touch with our team to take this option.

Looks like it will have to be the Go tariff with the 3p export rate as Agile seems to be mostly stuck at 35p (although a decent drop starting late last night). I'll keep an eye on Agile and maybe go back on to it.
I've looked back since I went onto the Tesla tariff and since 2nd December 2020 my export exceeded my import by 936kWh, it was good whilst it lasted.

I don't know when you installed your PV. Even if it was pre March 2012, your would get 3.95p per kWh for deemed or metered export from another FIT provider. You could try transferring you FIT away from Octopus.

Yes, I could try that but for now I'll wait to see how the Agile prices settle out before making a decision.
