That seems unbelievably efficient.

They all claim 95% efficiency (or thereabouts). The reality is more like 85%.

My old 24v Sunny Island with Forklift Lead Acid cells averaged 67% for the full round trip AC to DC to Batt to DC to AC.

My newer 48v Sunny Island with Lithium cells has averaged 82% for the full round trip.

Sometimes when they say round trip, they only mean the DC to Batt to DC round trip which may include a bit of DC to DC conversion if its DC coupled.
Or they only use the max peak efficiencies which are not attainable in real life use.
The DC to AC conversion is usually the worst efficiency, especially at low loads which most systems run at most of the time.

Still quite expensive, and it's only compatible with single-phase inverters.

At the moment home batteries are still too expensive to pay their way, but it's getting closer...

Yeah double the price of Pylontechs for something untried isn’t going to fly!

F'ing hell, that does not even include VAT !, with VAT, over £6,800 delivered.

Twice the price of Pylontech's but it does have an inherent advantage of legally being able to be added with no DNO issues to an existing Solar edge SetApp Enabled HD Wave inverters (i.e. screenless ones) as of Oct 2021. But not many folk are going to have any of those if they are only from this month.

Also, looks like cannot charge from the grid without adding some sort of separate battery charger.
