Agile coming good?

#1

Post by Stinsy »

Interesting thread by Mick:

From my perspective, Agile has never really delivered for a number of reasons:
  • Plunges might be exciting but they’re way too infrequent and unreliable.
  • Generally prices on Agile are too high compared with GO.
  • You can set-and-forget your timers on GO.

So whilst I agree with Stinsy about the reasons to generally avoid the Agile tariff, our Nuke output has finally improved and the UK is currently into an extended period of Atlantic winds bringing almost constant high wind power and mild temperatures so less demand.

You can’t set-and-forget your timers on GO. Agile maybe? Cant see a 5 day window in a 300+ day bad run as being a gamechanger. I far prefer buying the power at low ebb. Makes sense?

I don’t understand?

On GO you get the same cheap period every day, so all your timers can operate without intervention. That is what I meant by “set-and-forget”.

Agile, even when it’s working properly gives different cheap period every day so you have to set your timers every day.
I know mate & I agree but that's not how it reads? Maybe can't to can? I win pedantic medal for the day! :)
