The positive is that when the wind blows the seal will be even better.
All looking good though, might come round for a shufty once all finished if that would be ok?

They were crap. Bought at a price I could afford when doing the big lounge. Crap.Bugtownboy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 6:59 pm No probs Joe.
Must say, all of the windows/doors fitted look crisp and modern - apart from the thermal and sonic improvements, the general look will be so much better - apologies, but your replaced windows were showing their age.
Always welcome mate. Dead right about the seal. I am of course now doubting myself that we requested inward openers and the associated guilt..... but I asked she who holds the brain and straight away 'yep inward'.I also remember the 2 conversations. Fairly bucketing down now. I'm glad I chased them to fit that last glazing unit in dormer before knocking off tonight.
Always best defer to SWMBO.Joeboy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 7:12 pmAlways welcome mate. Dead right about the seal. I have been wrapped up in Uw figures and sealing etc so hadn't given that much thought to them looking good. It's a nice, bonny, low maintenance surprise.
We spoke about a sign-off sheet. I think they should develop one and a procedure for both sales, client and window Co. I reckon the doors will cost them about £800 trade if swmbo isn't liking them. The rest of what has happened is time only but that can have its own financial impact in a stacked schedule.Ronski wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 8:28 pm When I installed our bi-folds I went with them opening outwards, but with hindsight they would have been better opening inwards, but only due to restricted space on the decking, and the doors would have folded back onto the internal walls, so more out of the way.
The kitchen doors needed to fold outwards, otherwise they would get in the way, I did buy some proper magnets like the bi-folds have but after 7 years I still have not fitted them, they would need suitable brackets for the magnet to go on the wall, and well, the bungee elastic works![]()
I'm surprised they didn't get you sign off on the design/direction of opening, all though it was a little different with mine as I installed them and was buying direct from the manufacture.
PS Another 60 kWh day.
