Well timed, I can just now hear chapping noises which I think is the beads going in. This is horrible.

I'm staying away until I hear the second one going in.

Singing wee songs to myself and going la la la la la. :D

:D No, it's not finished giving yet. By complete luck the one unit out of the two that survived is still in their yard. They are away to get that now and fit it. Beyond that it's a new order and fit later. The mediation and breathing kicks in now and is of great benefit.

Incremental forward progress. Call it by mm's. Or thousandth of an inch

Right hand window is in.

We'll see how the survivor from the first set looks but tbh I've come too far to accept a mismatch. They can order the matching one and come back later.

Fuck em, I'm not in this to make their life easy.

Welded cill looks good.

A shame about the waste though.

That window does make a massive difference compared to previous without even mentioning the heat retention, good choice in going for that one large window.
Hope the other unit fits :xx: Oh aye when's the wife due back :fight:

It's getting there. I'm actually very happy with progress. The f**k ups are down to one guy not doing his due diligence. And acting like a child "it'll be ok"!

Oh no it won't son and it never is unless you do the work to make it so... I said before, he's outside his comfort zone and is now a confirmed slow to no learner which is a shame as it's a drag on what is a decent outfit.

The job can be completed bar the change out of the one glazing unit later. The light at the end of the tunnel is not a truck any more!

SWMBO is home on Sunday and I've done the telling on this. None of her sh**e. The levee is full. :D

The guys are on their way back with the stand by unit. I'll talk to them tomorrow about my expectations. :xl:

Well that was interesting, the stand by unit survivor from the original pair is fitted.

It is oversized and squeezing the seals too much. I've f*cked off the walloper who has been the cause of the wrongness as he came out with "what's wrong with that unit"?

I am now dealing with the best of the three and he is aware that the contract was for a matched pair.

He is also aware that I want to pay them and be done with it. The onus is to supply the correct matching unit ASAP so we can complete.

Image

It looks good but as the kite marks are different, corner supports on thermal bars too ,I don't know how two units from different factories will behave in Winter (frost/ice) and the seals aren't sitting quite right, it will look better when finished properly.

Image

I had a feeling confirmed, "sh*t enough'll do eh if it serves your needs"? Not only is the boy a bufoon he lacks integrity too.

I WILL get the standard that I made very clear at the beginning. I feel sorry for the young fella as he's the best of the three, excellent installer too and he's now to deal directly with me.
