Made some adjustments. Now forward (moments ago). Running it 24hrs, no setback. 20degs req'd with hwt being charged 00.00 to 01.30, 10 to 10.30 andx16.00 to.16.20.
Joe, just wondering if you need the 3 separate HWT timings, maybe a charge from 03:30 till 05:30 (probably won't need 2hrs anyway) and see if the hot water is sufficient for through the day, if not you can always do a boost should you need it.
During the night at this time of year is not the best for COP due to the low temps. but it saves your batteries during the day and consider changing the HWT timing to come on during the day as the temps and solar PV gain start to rise.

Sadly I do. First order of business is avoiding death by swmbo. She likes to shower for the full year in a day and I can't get her to shift on it. I'm going into this enjoying the cop but my eye is on the Octopus annual bill. I'd like to think I can largely slay it. The multiplier opens up day grid use too as we catch up throughout relatively speaking with the cop. I'm going to look into one of the AC to DC inverters so I can parallel charge the stack within the 6hr window. Nowty pointed me in the direction of the unit but of course I've since forgotten!

I'm also hoping that I can stay in credit over the year with Octopus, though I'm using up credit just now but not at a great rate.
I have a couple of (3000W) Eltek flatpacks, one of which I'm looking to sell if that would suit your charging needs?

Bloody hell Joe, Mrs Desp is well impressed with your journey after I mentioned it to her, so much so she says "maybe we should get a heatpump".................Shall I order one?? F**k and there I was thinking I'm too busy having cancer and restoring old motorbikes to take on YET ANOTHER round of bashing holes in cactusville .
Seriously though a huge well done for taking the plunge. now go and batter yourself around the head with a wet fag paper!!
Desp
Pmsl! Cancers a wanker, while we're all here around the campfire together let's give 2 fingers and a big Raspberry to all the monsters. THHHRRRRPPPPP!
I hope they've got you a good fighting programme arranged?
Incredibly low running wbs and rising outdoor temps have caught us out. 19.0 setpoint and house is now at 19.3 degs indoors!
Turning from.cop to cash. We had the EV charging last night at 3.5kW. So that's 3.5x5.5 (19.25) off the figure below.
To this point in the day, 32.65kWhs power to run the show.
Find the heatgeeks in your area desp. Do not accept less than a top flight install. Fintray led by example and I've tried to match that in my own build. Next up will be an A2AHP install in No1 son's house. But not today.
I second those two fingers for all going through this crap, the NHS have done a brilliant job at getting on top of this, OK so my dick has shrunk, I've grown man-boobs and a spare tyre, (there's an image you wont get out of your mind for a disturbingly long time ) still got some way to go but there should only be a few minor question marks left to answer.
If we do go down the HP route I will install it myself, I can get a 9kW Hitachi a2w HP for a bit less than 3 grand and our heating system is already split into 6 zones so the pipework will more than likely cope, may just need to uprate a rad or two. I have been cranking down the flow temp bit by bit to see how it works, so far at 45 degrees or so we are toasty. Then like you we have a 16kW WBS in case the ice age returns

That sounds very much like the fellow I'm looking for. Eltek brought it back to my mind! Is it a variable or fixed output? I'm not that bothered as we'll make it do its thing in balance with the tou. Name a price

I paid £155 for the pair last year they're still in the box they came in as I never needed them as I have about 11kW of charging capacity from the Victrons, so £77.50 if that's ok?

£80 incl holding fee then? I'll take a run through on them too plus we'll do cash if that's OK. Don't want to splat myself with DC.

I'll be heading into Inverurie on Tuesday to pick up from the vets and could drop it off if that suits?

Ah man, that would be cool, heading out with a pal Tuesday lunchtime for our post offshore ops Xmas bash. We've not dialed a time in yet but cash in envelope in front shed is a strong possibility.
