No experience of the Herschel brand of panels but I did recently get a small 150W FIR panel for the toddlers bedroom, linked to a smart plug its scheduled to pop on and off in 15 minute bursts through the night - really quiet and although only 150 W you can feel the warmth on your face and skin two meters away from it as soon as its switched on.
I like it because it heats people secondary objects and not the air so the warmth is instant - hence only short bursts being needed to keep the baby and toddler comfy in their bedroom.

I bought a couple of cheap infra red heaters the other day but haven't yet tried them. The reason being I was reading about the health benefits of the actual ir itself.

Hi again,
I ask about the Herschel heaters as they look to be one of the market leaders.
We currently run 3 Dimplex DuoHeat storage heaters in our property and from last year they ran at approx. 20kwh per night energy input.
Plus we have a log burner (Jotul No3) in the main room which pushes heat around the house when on full output.
What I am looking at is supplementing/replacing the DuoHeat heaters with the Herschel heaters, once I understand the usage and power spend on the Herschel panels compared to the DuoHeat heaters.
Thanks
JC
