House renovation near me

#1

Post by dan_b »

A house near me has been substantially renovated over the last 6 months - I think they may even have done a basement conversion but it looks a good job.

The thing that caught my eye though is this - is that a heat pump, or “just” air conditioning?

I would say, most likely a monoblock heatpump for hot water / heating.

Nice slate work, I don't think I'd like to cover that with PV!
Though they have a slate missing, up near the ridge to the right of the chimney.

Well there is something below ground level because of all the gratings at the rear. Pipes look the same size so A2W.

Is it the lodge house or vicarage for the church visible behind it? Or conceivably an old C of E primary school - perhaps not, the fenestration is not right for a school https://www.churchatcastle.org/church/s ... nes-church, anyway @dan_b has cleared it up now.

Lovely Victorian brickwork esp the chimney detailing, pity the new boundary wall is not in the same style.

It was originally the vicarage for the nearby church yes - but the church is now deconsecrated and is now an Islamic Mission Centre...

I'll have another nosey later!

Fascinating. The Snowcat is now a Sikh gurdwara! http://www.cambridge2000.com/cambridge2 ... 91192.html.
