Who is going to own it? this was not clear, is this a genuine not for profit or merely handing over cash to a firm to "run it, & shaft the populace by matching up costs to other providers, with an ah, but it's green shouted increasingly louder into the lugholes of anyone who quizzes the thing as to it being a cash cow for someone else?
(sorry, not enough detail on the page to verify) ..I hope this is the start of something good, but we have seen some "scheming" ..thus, wary.
Is this it from 2021 ?

As a kid in Iceland I was very impressed at the geothermal they utilised, & it has been done elsewhere to great effect in canada (drakes landing)? for instance, I hope this Cornish one doesn't end up with a deal that couldn't be refused by the FF industry to mothball it through ownership & bogus reliability issues
Then there is the LITHIUM WATER producing geothermal..

It sounds quite complicated in terms of ownership and who is doing what for the United Downs Deep Geothermal Power project.
From what I can work out,
The project is owned by a consortium of Thrive Renewables plc, Kerogen Capitol (private equity fund manager) and Cornwall Council.
Geothermal Engineering Ltd seems to be the actual contractor doing the work, i.e. the drilling and being the site operator.
Other funding has come from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), I'm not sure if that funding dried up because of Brexit. And more recently from the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero.
A nice timeline of the project is here (scroll down to it).
