Thats the temp of the heat exchanger, the high volume of air coming out will be significantly less.

EDIT - I tried an experiment with my A2A and measured the temp with the IR Thermometer and a bulb thermometer about a couple of cm's from the vent. The IR read about 60 degrees and the bulb thermometer was about 50 degrees so not actually significantly less.

But the hot air diffuses very rapidly and the room is only ;) at 24 degrees.

PS - And its below zero outside here. :winter:

Not got above -4℃ in the last few days and no defrost cycles. The cold air is so dry there is nothing to ice up the exchanger!

Its a bit damper down our way and we have had some defrost cycles. So I am running the GSHP off the underground river 24/7 presently with a return brine temp of 4 degrees. Radiators are running at 37 degrees. Occasionally I am running the downstairs A2A HP to give the lounge that toasty feeling.

Tomorrow we are looking at a large warm up outside so will be back to the 2 x A2A HPs.

One benefit of a no (or low) gas lifestyle is that my evidence for approved consumption at Ripple can be increased. Allowing us to be involved in further projects.

I am particularly taken with the idea that I will be able to pass on a modular, widely spaced RE power station to the kids and if there are any, grandkids.

The fact that the power station finished constituents are unknown at this time is quite exciting.

6" of snow overnight the temp has risen to 1℃ and it is damp/misty. So now the A2A is forced to defrost every 4hrs of operation on it's lowest setting.

I know this is padestrian by the standards set by some of you guys, but I believe yesterday was my biggest day ever for electricity consumption:

Personal best for me too, 92kWh consumed.
Storage, EV charge, family of four inside majority of the day, 3 washes and dehumidifier running

My max this year is 132 kWh on 30/11/23.

I think my max ever was 163 kWh on 12/12/22 which was on the day of a saving session last season.
