Currently back in the loft. Flooring, shelving and generally making it a fully useable space. Packing out any wee bits I find with earthwool and framing in the ashp pipework for longterm protection.

A good wee job to pass time until 3G goes in. 12 days to go!

More swatches ordered by swmbo for blinds. Hopefully one of the fresh 8 on their way will pass muster.

My mind keeps going to Ronski and his installation after speaking to the plywood guy yesterday. The only daft question is the one unasked. Fingers 🤞.

In the loft, We have old school fibre insulation, earthwool insulation, celotex on the walls of the loft conversion, blown cellulose in the hard to reach spots and also vermiculite. All that added together over the years barely qualifies us for the govt recommended depth!

Works wonders! I think it was the contrast between a man (you) doing the due diligence at the right time I.E before its been fitted and that guy who was very much 'its a magic box, Its a National company' type thinking. That got me thinking about your job. Was speaking to SWMBO about you and I said its basically the story of the 3 little pigs over & over again and he's doing it right.

I'll be doing the same with the 3G guys. They will not want for a cuppa and filled roll. I may even break out the Swiss Roll. :D

All the questions have been asked, all expectations laid out and agreed for both parties. If it goes Pete Tong it was not for lack of communication and effort. Or the Swiss Roll.

Let's hope both jobs go very well, I've got 32 days to go until the install, and 22 days until the engineer visit.

Same back at ya Ron, not long now until Monday start on windows. All blinds down and full repaint required!

Ashp has been dropped to a heat curve of 0.25. It's going astonishingly well. :D

The house is sitting at 18 degs. There's a bit of solar gain through Hazy skies.

That's the last of the blinds down and building surroundings cleared of benches and pots.

Hoping the guys are an early start tomorrow to begin the 3g.

What a 6 month wait! Roll on tomorrow.

Quick reminder, 47% cheaper than the dearest quote and a better Uw value.
