I genuinely admire this pragmatic approach grounded in the reality built across the preceeding decades.

Re: Work from home
Yea but ! We had a great opportunity with the first lockdown (remember that) to redesign society as a slower, less city centric one.
To be less dependent on personal and public transport; to spend more time, perhaps, on more mindful aspects - nature, gardens, growing food, family.
But then, the capitalist model bit back. We had to support businesses (Costa, Starbucks, McD, BK, SubWay, Pret etc) to maintain the whole modern city model.
We missed a trick to adopt a less consumptive way of life following lockdown; this, in the longer term, would have had an impact on CO2 emissions. But, hey ho, we have to feed the Ponzi scheme that is rampant capitalism.
The approach of lockdown is not too different to the current one highlighted by JB.
At some point, and it’s approaching very rapidly, society has to change. Whether this is by choice or disaster , who knows.

Don’t forget all that office space. Which is owned by a few, very influential, individuals…

3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger
(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)
