Wont the benefit disappear if everyone does it?
Off-peak to be a bigger deal thing!

Re: Off-peak to be a bigger deal thing!
well , where are we right now ? We are Heroin addicts as the supplier wanted us to be to get the injection and pay the rent ..... but now we have a war and politics are struggling to provide a service and try to tell people to be prepared for enegy shortages , while the make it difficult to install selfsupply
I often was critizized that beeing off grid is not possible for most , but i have a reason for that to have a Plan B and not rely on other companies

I don't think the benefit will disappear for the Grid but the benefit in kind paid to those participating will obviously reduce in keeping with the number of participants. Its a useful tool to manage public consumers behaviours and preferable to the big stick approach of the TRIAD system used on major industry consumers through the years, but if it fails then you have to wonder if the NG will resort to similar tactics to manage peak public usage ?
I agree with the premise that having some off grid capability is looking more and more favourable, as the current market develops and changes to domestic and international influences, and as always the gold standard would be to be self sufficient, something thats obtainable with effort for some but not for the majority yet with available technology.
