Well , you might slaughter me for my comments , but still we are looking at an PV install (and not much more)
But i found out , that a typical South orientated PV is not ideal for an off Grid living , so a more East-West Orientation , makes the days longer
Durin summer a south faced PV would at a certain Time just stand behind the panels and in the morning too
Same now is done for Grid tied solutions on Flat roofs , cause the days for an average Family home are not only focused on Midday peak production , more or less the time window should be stretched , when PV works , so a East-West orientation is for both scenarios a good choice .
So the unusable high peaks as illustrated in the video at lunch time , would not occur so hefty , if the iorientation would be different at an similar solar gain per day , but just over a longer period ....
But hey its done and fair play to Kris , thats for sure
