Just had some faith restored listening on BBC world service (Thurs 17th June 2021) I highly recommend a listen to this episode of "the food chain"
titled "The school that food built".
45 nationalities at the school, full time gardener, full time lesson teaching chef who converts lessons with maths into use of carrots & cooking (for instance) producing food as a result.
The school canteen has been renamed as the school (insert title here) restaurant.
You know its bit special within Southall London when the kids go foraging (studying cavemen) try to sort out edibles then to continue the lesson another week wood pigeons (feathered) are plucked gutted & cooked (initially in an oven, then finished on hot granite slabs for the kids to learn from & eat off.
37 minutes of your time, downloadable.
