I think I've just about got to the point where I think "what's the point of trying to go green anymore" when this sort of thing is announced. We're doomed aren't we?

If it’s part of a long term master plan to

Improve building stock /insulation to then reduce heat demand
Invest in infrastructure for low temp/district heating
Invest in electrical grid
Invest in transport
Reduce need for importing gas/oil from dictators.
Provide energy security
